Sea of Stars is a proposal for a temporary architecture exhibit at the old slaughterhouse complex of Madrid. The former slaughterhouse or "Matadero" is now a cultural and artistic center, for activities like these.
The project tries to bring the ocean closer to Madrid's citizens. It generates an immersive experience through light, sound and visuals that make every individual feel as if their underwater. Different rooms showcase the treasures of the oceans: corals, bubbles, waves, malestroms, algae, bioluminiscence, biodiverse fauna and flora...
This exhibit is made possible thanks to technology. LED screens divide the space into different rooms, but also project the images linked to each room. These screens can also be found on the ground in certain areas, to create the feeling of walking or levitating over the water surface. A hidden sound system enhances this immersive experience.
