Project idea

The project is a design idea for a recreational club, which was envisioned as a modern urban retreat that provides relaxation, recreation, and wellness for people living in Delhi and the entire NCR region (India). The project was developed with the idea of creating a calm and refreshing environment away from the stress, congestion, and fast-paced lifestyle of metropolitan cities.
The project aims to provide residents of Delhi NCR with an accessible getaway where they can relax without traveling long distances to resorts or vacation destinations.

Project description

The recreational club in Sonipat represents more than just a leisure destination. It functions as a modern urban retreat designed to improve the lifestyle and well-being of people across Delhi NCR.
By integrating recreation, wellness, sustainability, and social interaction, the project creates an environment where people can relax, recharge, and enjoy meaningful experiences away from the stress of city life.
The design successfully demonstrates how recreational architecture can positively influence mental wellness, community interaction, and the overall urban experience for the people of Delhi NCR.

Technical information

The recreational club was designed using a combination of durable, sustainable, and regionally responsive materials.
AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) blocks were used for wall construction due to their lightweight nature, thermal insulation properties, and energy efficiency, helping maintain comfortable indoor temperatures in the climate of Sonipat and Delhi NCR.
The primary structural system, including columns, beams, and slabs, was constructed using RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete), ensuring structural stability, strength, and long-term durability.
One of the key architectural features of the project is the outer flower-inspired frame made of Corten Steel, which provides a distinctive visual identity while developing a natural weathered finish that blends with the landscape over time.
The landscape design was planned according to the regional character of Sonipat, incorporating native vegetation, climate-responsive plantation, and locally suitable outdoor elements to create a sustainable and context-sensitive environment.
