Project idea

GEG ECHO is conceived as a contemporary retreat that explores the emotional connection between architecture, landscape, and human experience. Inspired by the purity of geometric form and the tranquility of natural environments, the project transforms the traditional A-frame cabin into a refined spatial experience focused on light, atmosphere, and simplicity.

The concept is based on the idea of an “echo” , where architecture responds to its surroundings through reflection, transparency, materiality, and silence. Rather than dominating nature, the structure blends into the landscape, creating harmony between built form and environment.

Through minimal intervention and carefully framed perspectives, GEG ECHO seeks to create a timeless retreat that encourages calmness, contemplation, and reconnection with nature.

Project description

GEG ECHO consists of contemporary A-frame cabins positioned within a lush natural setting, designed to provide immersive living experiences while maintaining a minimal environmental footprint. The project combines clean architectural geometry with warm natural materials, resulting in a balance between modern aesthetics and organic atmosphere.

Large panoramic glass facades dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior spaces, allowing natural light and surrounding greenery to become integral elements of the living experience. The use of timber textures, soft neutral tones, and reflective surfaces enhances the project’s serene and luxurious character.

The cabins are organized to maximize openness, functionality, and visual continuity with the landscape. Exterior terraces and surrounding vegetation extend the living experience outdoors, reinforcing the project's relationship with nature.

GEG ECHO represents a contemporary vision of sustainable retreat architecture — minimalist in form, immersive in atmosphere, and timeless in identity.

Technical information

GEG ECHO is a conceptual contemporary eco-retreat project located in Kosovo, designed as a modular A-frame cabin typology that combines minimalist architecture with sustainable design strategies. The project utilizes natural timber cladding, black steel structural elements, full-height energy-efficient glazing, and a reinforced concrete base to create a balance between warmth, durability, and transparency. The spatial organization includes an open-plan living area, kitchen and dining space, loft sleeping zone, and exterior terrace integrated within the surrounding landscape. Passive daylight optimization, cross natural ventilation, and low-impact site intervention contribute to the project’s environmental approach
