The project presents a well-thought-out transformation of the Bulovna complex, with an emphasis on functional layout and a sensitive integration with the existing historic buildings. I particularly appreciate the clear organization of the entire complex and the creation of a well-defined entrance area that makes it easy for visitors to find their way and naturally guides them into the museum grounds. A strong point of the design is the handling of the scale of the new structures and their integration into the existing layout of the site. The new buildings respect the character of the original industrial architecture and create a refined environment with high-quality outdoor spaces. I also view the clear operational layout and the logical interconnection of the museum’s various functions positively. The design feels balanced and realistic, offering the potential to create a pleasant cultural center that can be used year-round. The connection between the interior and exterior, as well as the treatment of public spaces throughout the entire complex, is also well executed. For the project’s further development, it would be interesting to place greater emphasis on Bulovna’s unique history and the theme of hop-growing directly within the architectural concept. A more pronounced focus on the site’s identity or the visitor experience could lend the design even greater originality and make it more memorable.Overall, this is a well-executed design that demonstrates a strong ability to work with the historical environment, operational connections, and urban context of the site.
