The worm

Idea projektu

The project attempts to challenge the traditional interpretation of the concept of knowledge. Examines the place of absolute truth and tries to challenge it with tools of disassembly and division into different perceptions of truth, which can live side by side with an order and coexist while creating tension and dialogue.

Popis projektu

The overarching goal is to challenge the accepted assumptions of traditional perception. On the other hand use the tools and opportunities that the same traditional perception gives. The project interprets the existing construction of the complex and the university as an expression of the same traditional narrative applied that dressed at the time over the urban space.

Technické informace

. The "worm" is actually a public road that passes inside the campus, similar to the road that existed there in the past before the university was built. The worm connects two urban centers. Its secondary role in the urban context is to define new entrances from within the urban block in place of the entrances that were around it. Its main function is to provide an opening and initial exposure to the diverse worlds of knowledge and multiple intelligences to strive to give space for expression to everyone. The worm encourages dialogue between worlds that would hardly have met without it.

The worm

Hi student The concept or main idea is quite interesting. But the representation of the project becomes a bit confusing, because you show what exists, which in this case is the "Campus" with the same level of importance of your project and the important thing about your project is the path that circulates through the "Campus" to join 2 points. I see 2 important observations to take into account: 1.- Project development Your project is the "Path" that joins points A and B. What you call "The Worm", lacks more emphasis in the Development of this idea that is the main one. How could you do it? My recommendation is to focus more on the development of the "Path" (The Worm), designing elements that help make this journey more functional and enjoyable, such as Urban Furniture, Landscape Design and / or recreational elements where people can make stops and interact with the existing elements of the "Campus". This point is very important so that the project is clearer and shows a more solid solution for its justification. 2.- Project Representation Proper representation of the project is vital for the idea to be understood as well as possible. The first thing to do is to differentiate what the Project itself is, which is the "Path" (The Worm), from what already exists. In most of your sheets, you show both the "Path" (The Worm Project) and the "Campus" (Existing Elements) in color and this can create confusion as to the scope that the project really has. My recommendation is that you use 2 different shades in the representation; for example in "The Worm" use colors to give emphasis and clarity in the scope of the project and in "Campus" use black and white to emphasize that it is a secondary element of the main idea. It is also important to clearly represent the elements of the newly developed elements that complement the project, such as those mentioned above in point 1 (Urban Furniture, Landscape Design and / or recreational elements where people can make stops and interact with existing elements. of the "Campus"). These 2 points will give clarity and weight to your project. As for the 3D Design and the finishes of the Renders, they are quite acceptable. It is only to focus on clearly representing the scope of your project so that it is not confusing. Best regards Yubal Guillen
