CONSTRUCTION SKILLS CENTRE

Idea projektu

The design challenge given was to envision a construction Centre that does more than just providing workshop spaces. The approach I took was to do away with physical boundary walls to create much intuitive and social friendly institution through public space creation and the effective use of threshold and yet still maintain privacy and controlled access as per spaces requirements.

Popis projektu

Construction Skills Centre is a project proposed to address the loss and shortage of skilled technicians in the country. Over the years there has been a constant down trend of skilled young technicians in the construction sector. . The project takes advantage of its social and economic context by holding users as long as possible to arose interest by providing a destination shopping complex and a public space in its heart. By consciously removing boundary walls, the project allows for projection to what the local youth could achieve. The public circulation became the initial parameter set for design conception.

CONSTRUCTION SKILLS CENTRE

I have to say about the plan and purpose that you had that impressed me, and I ask all my students to design this way and pay attention to the challenges. Addressing the problems and needs is one of the right and valuable ways of design, and this shows that you are a concerned designer and we will definitely hear more from you in the coming years. I hope you follow this path well and build many buildings with your design art, each of which will solve a problem or be a response to the needs of users. I think the graphic design is appropriate, but I expect you to try to make the designs more attractive in future designs. Regarding the architectural design, this issue, which tried to solve the problem in the country in the simplest and most practical way, attracted my attention, and when I saw the design, I remembered several buildings of educational space that have the same features as your design, and this is a positive point. In the suggestion section to improve the design, I ask you to pay more attention to the design of the plan, the location of the spaces and the spatial relationship so that your designs can be upgraded day by day. Finally, as always, I hope to see you and the other participants at the highest level of architecture and I know that with the continuation of your efforts and activities, I will hear more from you and your honors in the future.
