Direction Beirut to become a sustainable regional hub through ports’ ventures, facilities and consequently industry. This occurs by:
1-Improving industry by increasing value of goods by processing factories.
2-Develop trade through port capacity and efficiency of terminals to be mother container.
3-Attract locals and tourists through entertainment, commercial, and cultural
This project consists of two main parts. Firstly, the tourism area which consists of Marina bay, shops , transportation hub, Memorial park , Multigenerational center , hotel , conventional center and the passenger terminal
Most of the buildings in the port are constructed by skeleton systems
except for the multigenerational center , the passenger terminal and the warehouses
This sketch can serve as the basis for the main project, but it's too early to judge the final idea, since, in my opinion, the proposed solution is quite conceptually presented. Of those points that I would like to correct - this is the direction of the pedestrian boulevard, which should not only go from some visual object through interesting sights, but also come somewhere. This project does not have such a clear start and end point. Because of this, the impression of a "torn" context is created.
