Idea projektu
The residential district «Krasnaya ryabina» is located on Krasnogorsky District, Moscow Oblast, near the urban locality Nakhabino. There is a zone of big green forests. It was necessary to create a residential district that fits into the ecological environment of the place, with affordable and comfortable housing, public spaces, a school, a kindergarten and a Eastern Orthodox Church. The residential district was named "Krasnaya ryabina" (eng. "The red rowanberry"), because it is located next to the village "Ryabinushka" (eng. "The rowanberry").The red rowanberry appears as a symbol of peace, a good life and a strong family. Together with birch and chamomile, the red rowanberry is a favorite tree for a Russian person and evokes strong associations with the native place, since mountain ash is ubiquitous in Russia. Even in the northern regions, this resistant tree grows well, and in autumn it pleases people with the brightness of its leaves and, of course, with red-scarlet berries. The rowan for most Russians symbolizes their homeland.

The inner part of the block is closed to cars, there are only entrances to parking lots and entrances, and fire passageways. The main points of attraction: park areas, boulevard and a Eastern Orthodox Church - all these points are connected by big pedestrian sprays. One of the most unusual and striking features of the quarter is a large boulevard which is also the center of the accumulation of all residents for carnivals and holidays. Infrastructural objects connect the space between the proposed developing residential district with the already existing traffic infrastructure. Walking and cycling lanes are carefully implemented in the existing sanitary protective layer of blocks considering existing vegetation, so the trees separate walking and cycling traffic and create green patches. Programmatic toolbox maximizes forgotten relationship with the area next to a highway by implanting new cultural, and recreational activities but also adventure programs to try to enhance and empower the potential of this area. Parks, squares and boulevard are interconnected creating a continuous green line, safe for children and residents. Residential district «Krasnaya ryabina» consists of: - Cultural object: Eastern Orthodox Church - Infrastructural objects: Walking paths, bicycle paths, green patches, underground and surface parking, shops, school, kindergartens, playgrounds, stadiums, bus stops
