Peace Park

Idea projektu

The park-like spatial design site is abandoned and unused with an area of 4500 square meters located in the center of Jahrom city and is facing many problems; Unused open spaces, aimless spreading of gardens and trees, lack of suitable seating, cars entering the space, inappropriate flooring, hidden corners, confusion and illegibility of space, transience and lack of spatial hierarchy are among the troublesome problems. space and design challenges.

Popis projektu

Due to the placement of trees on the site in the maze of trees, it is designed as a multi-purpose space for children to play and adults to socialize. The fluid form of this park is based on respect for the existing trees, so that the architecture of the space moves towards respect for nature. Independent but coherent, soft and quiet spaces find their way through the trees and in combination with the middle courtyards provide a pleasant space in the shade of the trees for presence and interaction. Yellow brick, as a native material and appropriate to the identity, integrates the design in a way that moves the eye in the space, to ignore the diversity and cohesion in the whole space, and is reminiscent of a style of Iranian architecture that has been associated with He has been a human being and it makes him pause and conveys meaning from his character.

Technické informace

The Peace Park is inspired by the elements of Iranian architecture, such as connection with the water flow, landscaping and space creation, spatial hierarchy, structure and geometry, orientation and the way of planting in plots, design according to the climate, the use of organic materials such as bricks. Ergonomic linear and collective interactive seats, as well as considering design measures, have created integration and unity in the spatial structure and created a diverse and pleasant atmosphere; Where peace flows.

Peace Park

This peace park design is a good design intervention for the community and would be beneficial to users. The use of a water fountain in such a climate will improve humidity, therefore creating an appropriate microclimate in the park. Trees would also create shade for users to relax in comfort. I commend the designer for these inputs. However, adding some parameters to the design will improve the sustainability of the park. 1. The climate of Iran has a minimum of 800 kWh/m2, and thus the designer should incorporate solar PV to power the LED lighting systems in the park. Panels could be integrated on the roof of the theatre and food stalls, or there could be some solar street and garden lighting. 2. As a public park, there is a need to design for all. Provision for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) is not strong, as the washroom design and sitting areas have no considerations. 3. The idea of designing around existing trees is appreciated, but it must blend with the design. For instance, the tree in the middle of the first two ping pong tables can disturb and affect players anthropometrically. Will existing trees in the fountain survive after all the sand is scooped up and the space filled with water? 4. Please always show the north axis so that one can appreciate the orientation, effect of the sun and wind on your design. I believe if these comments are addressed, the design will be better and serve the community more sustainably.
