Miris Garden

Idea projektu

The main idea of the project is to be inspired by the title of the blue flag of Croatia. The concept has a goal - what would the resort look like if this water became architecture? Also details of shape and solution are inspired by the natural contours of the Adriatic Sea, going to the bays of Novograd Sea and Karin Sea + "spots" of Dalmatia, which were found on the ceramics of the island of Dalmatia many years ago. The shore continues the contours of the beach (river Zrimanja), with an emphasis on entertainment - aqua areas (wakeboarding, swimming equipment), viewing platforms / piers for private villas and beach areas / changing rooms.

Popis projektu

THE COMMERCIAL CENTER, MARINA, RESORT of Croatia is focused on tourists, climbers with an informative orientation, allowing each tourist to learn about the culture and history of the country - each object has an idea that refers to the history and national symbols of Croatia. These ideas are realized through energy-saving and ecological approach to the environment. The zone of commercial center consists of several areas - the shopping centre building, the observation deck and the eco-lift, which provides access for all vacationers to the beach. The presence of this communication line is an important component for optimum pedestrian and car movement. There are several main zones and additional zones in the Waterfront Improvement Area. The main zones are - aqua zone, beach zone, recreational zone, commercial zone. All these zones are connected by a main communication road that connects to the existing Masterplan roads.

Technické informace

The construction system of the commercial center is a shell of farm, which interact with the columns. The observation deck is located on the columns, and the eco-lift serves as an additional fulcrum along with the geothermal collector, which provides energy saving for the resort. The coastal area is located on floating platforms (heterotopia), where there are tanks for the collection and desalination of water. This water can be delivered via utility lines to homes and possibly to neighboring communities.

Miris Garden

This proposal presents an ambitious vision for a coastal resort in Croatia, drawing inspiration from the Adriatic Sea's natural contours and Dalmatian cultural motifs. The design thoughtfully integrates various zones—including commercial centers, marinas, and recreational areas—connected by a main communication road that aligns with the existing masterplan roads. The emphasis on sustainable features, such as floating platforms for water collection and desalination, showcases a commitment to environmental considerations. However, while the conceptual framework is commendable, the architectural detailing and material articulation remain underdeveloped. The project's reliance on symbolic references, like the "blue flag" of Croatia, could be further explored to enhance the narrative and user experience. Additionally, more detailed plans and sections would provide a clearer understanding of spatial organization and functionality. Overall, "Miris Garden" offers a creative approach to coastal development, emphasizing cultural and environmental sensitivity. With further refinement in design execution and technical detailing, it has the potential to contribute meaningfully to the discourse on sustainable resort architecture.
