The entire design solution has been strategically developed using the "New Contextualism" approach, which analyzes the site through 10 filters: geographical, social, historical, cultural, political, economic, ecological, urban, architectural, and scientific.

Technické informace

The housing complexes are designed to address climatic challenges such as rain and heat by incorporating screens and vertical greens, which cool the interiors while offering aesthetic benefits. The buildings are positioned to provide shading, maximize ventilation, and protect rooms from direct sunlight, aligning with Bangladesh's climatic conditions. Greenery is integrated into various forms, including green roofs, parks, playfields, and trees, enhancing environmental and social benefits. These green spaces not only improve air quality and reduce urban heat islands but also create recreational areas that promote community well-being and biodiversity.

The "METRO LAKEFRONT RESIDENCES: WHERE URBAN VIBRANCE EMBRACES NATURE’S SERENITY" project by Tasnia Nazneen and Khan Dhrupad Mustapha from BRAC University presents a visionary approach to urban housing in Dhaka's Diabari area.
