The idea of the project was to make a pleasure area for citizens near Prague. As the area was included the lake l have decided to project something on water. On the other hand there was a large and beautiful forest, therefore, I connected my project and the forest with a path so that people could enjoy the atmosphere more
There was a large concrete wall in place that was buried into the lake, so I decided to leave it as the entrance to the pier. The main part of the pier is made of a terrace board, and at the end is a concrete bench that completes the composition. For shading, I made a pergola with hanging bushes on top
This small-scale intervention is elegant in its simplicity and sensitive to its lakeside context. By reusing an existing submerged concrete wall and connecting the pier to a nearby forest via a path, the project creates a harmonious public space for rest and reflection. The use of a wooden deck, pergola, and vegetation introduces comfort and tactility. While minimal in scale, the project’s modesty is its strength—offering a peaceful, site-specific intervention that serves its community with architectural humility.
