Light & Silence Museum

Idea projektu

This project proposes a contemporary art museum pavilion located in Gërmia Park, Prishtina. The main idea is to create a calm cultural space within nature, where architecture becomes a quiet frame for art, light, and movement. The building is shaped as a composition of simple volumes that form a central atrium and outdoor courtyards, allowing visitors to experience both exhibitions and the surrounding landscape. The project aims to provide a new public destination for art, education, and cultural gatherings, while maintaining a minimal and respectful presence in the park environment.

Popis projektu

The project consists of a contemporary art museum pavilion organized around a central atrium. The ground floor includes the main entrance, lobby, reception, and flexible exhibition areas. The first floor provides additional gallery spaces, viewing points, and circulation paths that connect the volumes. The design also includes outdoor terraces and a public open space that supports events, pauses, and interaction with nature. The overall layout is designed to ensure clear visitor circulation, controlled daylight, and a strong connection between interior and exterior spaces.

Technické informace

The building is designed as a modern pavilion with a reinforced concrete structural system. The exterior envelope is composed of smooth white concrete/plaster surfaces combined with large glass openings and dark metal frames. A perforated façade element is introduced to filter daylight, reduce glare inside exhibition spaces, and create a strong architectural identity. The roof is designed as a flat system with skylight openings to enhance natural lighting in key areas. The landscape is integrated through hardscape surfaces, greenery, and pedestrian paths connecting the pavilion to the park network.

Light & Silence Museum

The design shows sensitivity toward human scale and spatial experience, creating environments that support both functional efficiency and experiential quality.

The design presents an interesting interpretation of the project brief.
