This is a beautiful project — simple, elegant, and very well resolved. The arched steel bridge sits naturally in the landscape, and the relationship between form and structure feels convincing rather than forced.
What I appreciate most is the clarity of the idea. Using color as a wayfinding system — red for cyclists and white for pedestrians — is a smart move. It avoids extra signage or visual clutter, while still making the bridge easy to understand the moment people use it. It is a simple idea, but it works both functionally and architecturally.
I also think the structural and material decisions are handled with care — the variable-height beams, open-grid grating for drainage and light, and LED-integrated handrails all feel considered and appropriate.
One aspect that could be explored further is the bridge’s nighttime experience. The proposal mentions LED strips integrated into the handrails, as well as lighting beneath the open-grid pedestrian deck, but a dedicated night view or simple lighting diagram would help communicate this part of the design more clearly.
Since the project relies so strongly on the red-and-white color system, it would be valuable to show how that identity carries into the evening condition. Seeing how the colors, lighting, and transparency of the deck work at night could add another layer of richness to the presentation.
