Work description
Research Group: High Energy PhysicsParticle Physics Phenomenology InternshipThe student will work on topics in particle physics phenomenology with a focus on proton–proton collision events at the Large Hadron Collider involving multiple electroweak bosons in the final state. The project will involve the generation and analysis of simulated high-energy collision events, using modern Monte Carlo tools and data-analysis frameworks widely employed in the field.During the internship, the student will learn techniques for data processing, statistical interpretation, and comparison of theoretical predictions with experimental measurements by the ATLAS Collaboration. The work will provide practical experience with state-of-the-art computational methods used at the energy frontier and offer an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to real high-energy physics experiments. The successful candidate will develop skills in scientific computing, phenomenological modelling, and critical data interpretation, contributing to ongoing research efforts in electroweak physics.
