The trainee will have the opportunity to explore Burundi’s tourist and cultural sites with IAESTE Burundi, combining professional experience with local sightseeing and cultural discovery.
Work description
The trainee will conduct field visits to mining sites in Cibitoke (Kibaya, Ndora, Bukinanyana), collect and analyze data on minerals, study local mining practices, and prepare reports with recommendations for safe, sustainable, and community-friendly mining.On-site fieldwork and campus-based analysis, collaborating with supervisors, local mining staff, and community members.Work in a small team with independent tasks in research, reporting, and analysis.A report on mineral resources and mining practices, recommendations for sustainability, and increased awareness of responsible mining among local communities.
