Mosque And Islamic Cultural Center

This project is a bit difficult for me to critique, because I do not have enough cultural knowledge to confidently say what is 'good' or 'bad' about your design. I will say that the people in your research, and the one praying individual in your rendering, are powerful. But the lack of people in many of your drawings make the project feel more object-focused than subject-focused. The landscape of your project also feels like an afterthought, rather than an opportunity to either reinforce your concept, or to propose a way of connecting your project to the water and/or the city context. This is the type of project where I would really like to see more of the design process. What other site plan/side design approaches did you try? What were some of the specific challenges that you faced to solve this particular design challenge?
