For the project, we opted to rely on the asset of the existing building by drawing inspiration from their habitat. This is how we were inspired by the kassena concessions in Burkina Faso.
The kasséna concession is home to several families and is generally made up of round huts organized around a central element which is the attic. It also relies on decorative art, an activity essentially based on painting (red, white / black). So for our project we used the principle of unity in variety with the boxes as units and the variety in terms of the difference in size of our different boxes, which we organized around a central element which is our living space. outdoor exhibition.
Our project is a craft village project with an area of 1500 m² which will contribute to the enhancement of culture and the promotion of crafts in the south-west of Burkina Faso.
Its purpose is to offer a commercial and artisanal program in order to allow local artisans to exhibit and market their product while promoting their arts.
