This project involves the development of a high-rise multifunctional complex in Moscow called «Eco Moscow tower» with minimal carbon dioxide emissions and aspiration for a zero energy balance, which will significantly improve the ecology of the city.

Compositionally, the complex represents a spiral twisted counter-clockwise. Thanks to this solution, all the rooms of the building, as well as vertical gardens, are provided with maximum insolation even in winter, and the windows of the apartments cover a larger viewing angle, opening views of all the main attractions of Moscow. Also, the counter-clockwise rotation of the building volumes allows wind flows to smoothly bend around the building and not cause turbulence, and the petal division of the high-rise volumes of the building allows for more efficient distribution of wind flows. This solution also compositionally sets the dynamics of the building, making the architectural appearance more unique and outstanding.

«Eco Moscow tower» is located in the Presnensky district of Moscow, not far from the Moscow-City business district. The design site is located at the intersection of Shmitovsky and Mukomol’ny driveways. The general plan involves zoning the site into a public area and a private area for residents with fencing and security posts. The residential courtyard includes a playground, a workout area, a recreational area, a basketball court and a table tennis area. A little human-made pound is planned for the recreational area. In the south of the site, a household area with an unloading area is organized, located under the exploited roof of the stylobate.

The high-rise complex is divided into 3 main functional blocks: residential, office and public. The residential and office blocks make up the high-rise part, and the public block is located in the stylobate part. The public block includes a sports complex, a restaurant and a shopping and entertainment center. A helipad is installed on the roof.

Due to the small area of the design site and the lack of sufficient landscaping in the Moscow City area, vertical gardens with all-season trees are being arranged in the building. It is also planned to arrange landscaping and plant trees on the exploited roof of the stylobate part.
The designed building has both common areas and areas intended exclusively for residents of the complex. Such areas include a sports complex, including a small swimming pool, a spa area, exercise rooms and multi-purpose sports halls; and also a cafe for 50 people, a gaming room and lounge zones on the residential floors. Common areas include the premises of the shopping and entertainment center. On the first floor there is a clothing store, an atrium and a supermarket, and on the second floor there is a restaurant for 150 people, a hardware store and an entertainment center.

The housing is represented by business-class apartments, including 2, 3, 4 and 5-room apartments, as well as a 2-level penthouse located on the upper floors.

The building's facades are designed in the eco-tech style. The main colors used are white, light beige, gray and blue. An important element of the facades is landscaping. A ventilated facade with composite panel cladding and stained glass glazing are used as external enclosing structures.

Vertical zoning involves dividing the building into 4 fire compartments using technical floors. The technical floor also separates the underground parking from the above-ground part of the building.

The main innovative solution of the designed complex is the use of technology for capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, filtering and processing it, and then further using it for the needs of the skyscraper, which will allow the building to additionally provide itself with its own produced energy. Such a system is a massive "chimney" located in the core of the building and having an opening at the end with filters located in it that clean the carbon dioxide coming from the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is supplied to all floors of the building through this chimney, thereby providing the entire building with energy.

A combined structural system is used (frame-barrel and shell) with a structural core in the central part of the building. The internal load-bearing structures are made of reinforced concrete, and the external load-bearing frame is made of carbon steel. Slab-pile foundations are used.
