Project idea

Conversion and extension of existing buildings into a museum complex with an integrated minibrewery, creating a cultural destination that respects the existing architectural context.

Project description

The project involves the transformation of existing structures at the Bulovna site into a museum with an accompanying minibrewery. The design introduces new extensions alongside the preserved existing buildings, connected through a coherent architectural language featuring prominent gabled roof forms with wooden cladding. The floor plans show a minibrewery occupying parts of the complex across two floors, with the museum extension (přístavba) organized across multiple levels. The site plan demonstrates careful integration of landscaping with trees and pathways connecting the various building volumes. The concept diagrams show the massing strategy of combining existing and new volumes.

Technical information

The project includes detailed floor plans at 1:200 scale for both the minibrewery (1NP, 2NP) and the extension (1NP, 2NP, 3NP). Cross sections (příčný řez) and longitudinal sections (podélný řez) are provided for both the extension and minibrewery at 1:200 scale. The sections reveal the structural system with prominent exposed roof trusses and multi-level interior spaces. The existing building section is also shown for context. The site plan (situace širších vztahů) is presented at a larger scale showing the relationship to surrounding context.
