"ARASTA" Museum

Project idea

The potential and idea of this architecture project is to raise the overall quality in the living through the cultural component .The purpose of this modern museum is the collection, preservation, interpretation and display of the "Arasta" minaret which has a cultural significance for the city of Prizren.

Project description

This project examines the role of the historical museum ("ARASTA") as a source of information for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage. The focus is on strategies for preserving, documenting and representing historical and cultural heritage, including addressing the challenges associated with historical resources and organizing and supporting them.

Technical information

A specialized form of this historical museum collects and exhibits material from an ethnographic viewpoint. As the term suggests, emphasis is placed on culture rather than chronology in the presentation of the collections. During the design of this historical museum, it is intended to use contemporary materials, where they do not deny the existence of the minaret, thus respecting the cultural and traditional architecture.

Advice to students

"ARASTA" Museum

Hey Rina Jahaj, Syna Cikaj I just wanted to say that your work on this project is really impressive! The idea behind it is very smooth and the design is simple yet effective. However, I would suggest that you focus on improving the solid and void in elevation and the building height. I believe that by doing this, you could enhance the overall visual impact of the building and create a more dynamic and striking design. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your progress! goodluck mostafa ismael
