DISSOLVING BOUNDARIES

Project idea

As seen in many ports around the world, the port of Beirut, by its very nature, forms a border between the city and the sea. The main purpose of the project is to create permeable and flexible spaces by removing this border.

Project description

By creating various squares and the axes leading to these squares, the borders between the local people, tourists and port workers were removed and a unifying space has been created.The city and its people have been infiltrated into the sea.
