A boutique hotel design inspired by the natural movement of desert sand dunes, where softness, continuity, and fluid transitions define the landscape.

Project description

The boutique hotel is located on the shores of Lake Qarun in Fayoum Governorate, at a site that blends desert architecture with open nature. The design lines are inspired by the natural movement of desert sand dunes, creating fluid and continuous spatial experiences. The project integrates organic forms, arched openings, and natural materials to achieve a unique cultural identity that harmonizes with the surrounding desert environment. The design includes a lobby, restaurant, lounge areas, art installations, outdoor landscape zones, and supporting facilities across ground and first floor levels.

Technical information

Ground floor plan and first floor plan at scale 1:50 (50x70 cm) with approximate area of 742 m². The project features organic curved circulation paths, integrated landscape zones, kitchen, toilets, main restaurant, public lounge, art installation areas, and a coffee shop. Color scheme and material palette draws from earth tones, sandy beiges, greens, and marine blues.
