The goal is to showcase the viability and benefits of incorporating recycled materials into construction projects. Energy Efficiency: The hub will prioritize natural ventilation systems to reduce energy consumption and minimize the carbon footprint. Energy-efficient systems, including lighting, HVAC, and water management, will be implemented in the design, aiming to set an example for sustainable building practices. Demonstration and Education: The hub will serve as a demonstration site for sustainable building practices, offering educational programs to raise awareness about waste reduction and recycling. Through these programs, the hub will highlight the economic and environmental benefits of incorporating recycled materials into construction projects. Global Inspiration: Sri Lanka faces significant challenges in waste management, and the hub will draw inspiration from global waste management methods. By focusing on approaches that minimize environmental damage and support economic development, the hub aims to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. Location: The chosen location for the hub is Malabe, which possesses the necessary factors for a thriving innovation hub. With its classification as a technology city by 2030 and many students pursuing higher education, including international students, Malabe offers the potential for research and innovation activities. Its proximity to major cities and transportation links further facilitates the commercialization of innovations.

Additionally, it will prioritize natural ventilation systems to reduce energy consumption and minimize the carbon footprint. The hub will implement energy-efficient systems, including lighting, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and water management. These systems will contribute to reducing energy consumption and ensuring sustainable practices within the hub's operations. The innovation hub will showcase sustainable building practises by incorporating recycled materials into its construction. It will also offer educational programmes to raise awareness about waste reduction and recycling, highlighting the economic and environmental benefits of using recycled materials in construction projects. CENTRO DE INNOVACIÓN CREATIVA PARA RESIDUOS RECICLADOS - MALABE SRI LANKA

Felicito a la estudiante por este enfoque ecológico y medioambiental que ha sabido expresar bien desde el punto de vista volumétrico y técnico. Habida cuenta de los retos medioambientales actuales, este tipo de proyectos arquitectónicos deben atraer toda la atención posible. Sin embargo, sería mucho más interesante evaluar la valorización de los distintos residuos que se utilizarán en la construcción de este edificio. Explicar también el aspecto estructural de esta construcción. En el aspecto conceptual del proyecto, se realizan esfuerzos admirables con una composición accidentada y curvilínea, de una elegancia agradable a la vista. La presencia de espacios abiertos al exterior ofrece la oportunidad de disfrutar de la naturaleza y de la hermosa vista de patios y jardines. La movilidad también ofrece un agradable sentido al movimiento al ir de un punto a otro, conseguimos atravesar diferentes espacios transmitiendo fuertes emociones. El alumno tendrá que rehacer la estructura portante del edificio, aportar una nueva mirada a los procesos de valorización de los residuos en su transformación en materiales de construcción.
