GENERAL SECONDARY SCHOOL WITH ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Project idea

The diploma project of a Secondary school with additional professional education is aimed at creating a modern school space that will positively affect not only the educational process, but also the spiritual and physical development of the child. The school building should be a comfortable, favorable environment for the growth and development of intellectually developed and happy children. Children spend most of their day at school, so the school should take into account not only the educational process, but also part of the life that takes place in it. After graduation, children choose a profession for themselves, but often it is very difficult, because children either have no idea about a particular profession, or have false and incomprehensible ones. As a result, the profession chosen at random turns out to be not the one that the child would like. This, in turn, leads to poor-quality development of one or another area of our lives. Therefore, it is very important that from an early age the child understands and knows about the existence of different professions and what they are. Another task in the development of the younger generation is to teach them foreign languages, which is especially important recently. Taking into account the above, this architecture was created for 1,320 students.

Project description

The school is designed in the Kohota mahalla of Shaikhantakhur district, along Zulfiyahonim Street. The school is a building of four blocks, each of which has its own school life. Two blocks occupy educational premises, (the students of the senior and junior grades are divided into two blocks) they are connected by a block with general school premises. The fourth block is reserved for vocational education. This block connects to the high school block. The hexagon was used as the basis for the shape of the building. Classrooms also have a hexagonal shape. This form allowed the creation of a convenient and multifunctional environment. The school provides many recreational areas for both active and quiet recreation. Because children need more free space so that they don't grow up in oppressed conditions. That is why the windows are solved with stained glass or panoramic windows. The school has a football stadium, and sports fields; an educational and experimental area that relates to vocational education; and all other necessary areas. The school will serve local residents as a cultural center of the mahalla, for events, meetings, exhibitions, competitions, various clubs, etc. types of cultural activities. The presented school will serve children and the people, providing comfort, coziness and freedom.

Technical information

The building's design is based on a module made of a regular hexagon. The design is solved by a monolithic frame and using metal structural elements. The building has a lot of panoramic glazing and skylights on the roof. From the west and east there are sun protection devices that will protect against overheating and harmful sunlight. The roofs are arranged in accordance with modern solutions of green roofs, allowing us to plant small trees and at the same time serve as hydro and thermal insulation. The junior school block consists of two floors. and the rest of the blocks consist of three floors. This is done in order to ensure safety and avoid feeling disconnected from the ground. Exploited roofs are arranged on the roofs of the second floors of all blocks. They serve as a place for recreation or outdoor activities and children on the upper floors do not have to go down to the ground floor to play on the ground. The floors are staggered to each other, and the console of the second floor serves as a canopy for the first floor. And so is the second floor with the third. The entrance to the school grounds is through two checkpoints that divide students into age groups. In addition to the main entrance, there are additional service entrances. The project was completed taking into account all the necessary building codes and regulations currently in force.

Riham Nady Faragallah
