Project idea

The idea of this project centers around the idea of a bookstore being influenced by its genre, as the genre for this "kinda bookstore" revolved around science fiction, so did the space! The narrative that was pushed was due to the unique nature of the word "science fiction", where it is first and foremost on a scientific basis, that pushed past the human boundaries and limitations to reach the fiction.

Project description

The project consists of a library, that vertically rotates allowing every zone to be accessible for a specific period of time. Every "time" zone is equipped with the needed services to make it fully functional, from cafes' to toilets.

Technical information

The space station itself is made of steel and metal, but the library is made of mostly concrete, to try to give a "homy" feel to the library, every architecture element served a duo-function, both in the upside and right-side up visual of the library.
