CUB'S

Project idea

Community life, a city for pedestrians and the preservation of native forests were the pillars for the development of the proposed expansion of the town of Yerba Buena, Tucumán, Argentina. Yerba Buena, a city in constant spontaneous growth, where gated communities predominate and lack green recreation spaces;

Project description

Through a master plan, we seek to return the city to the pedestrian, which is why we propose 2 hierarchical routes where, the first, unites 2 cities and the second generates a walk through a linear park along a stream and continues bordering the beginning of the mountain as the limit of the permitted construction zone. We propose a grid of blocks where the centers are permeable and in the sector where it joins with what already exists we propose a community integration center (CIC). This CIC, which we will call CUB'S, due to its spatial and morphological conformation, where we seek to be part of a whole with an appropriate architecture, where large semi-covered spaces (galleries and terraces) necessary for the climate of the place predominate, it is composed of 3 large groups of elements: 1. A sequence of squares, where each one has its imprint and activities, 2. Active fronts, which support the city with facilities (such as courts, games for children, bike paths, etc.) 3. Set of two buildings (CIC) that generate containment and encounter in community, which is why the formal generation of the elements is a virtual plot in the form of cubes where the buildings are inserted, both joined by galleries. One raised to generate privacy, where art and mind develop, and another sunken, where assistance and containment is provided to the community.

Technical information

The surrounding structure of the cic is developed in metallic elements, while the buildings are executed in reinforced concrete, the foundations are foundation plates with pilotis where required, and the slabs (of mezzanines and terraces) are of prenova (slab of balls ) to save large spans and generate more fluid environments where their activities can be made more flexible in the future as needed. It has a system of parasols for protection from the sun and they generate pots so that plants can grow and filter more heat.

CUB'S
