Nilus Bibliotheca

Project idea

The building is envisioned in the concept of a vibrant space for growth, innovation, and community engagement with the breathtaking view to inspire curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning through the designed pathways inside and outside. The project is greatly affected by user accessibility and experience merging with the Nile River which is a landmark in Egypt, which aims to go beyond simple structure and envisions a dynamic environment that promotes inclusivity, learning, and collaboration, the building from the approach extending to the vision axis line to Nile River view.

Project description

The Project program is to encourages the participation of the community in creating a more livable environment through the creation of cultural and entertainment zones as well as libraries, cafes, galleries, co-working spaces, and retail stores, in addition to Services and Reception zones to serve the user's need.

Technical information

The building's structural system, which incorporates steel trusses into the building's framework, offers strong roof support, enabling the construction of expansive areas devoid of columns and wide spans, all the while guaranteeing weather resistance and longevity. In order to optimize views of the Nile River and to take advantage of natural light and ventilation, the building's elevation treatment on the north and east faces incorporates sizable, transparent curtain glass panels that provide a panoramic view and encourage a sense of connection with the surrounding environment.

Nilus Bibliotheca
