Project idea

The primary aim was twofold: to promote sustainable tourism and to celebrate and preserve the unique cultural and architectural heritage of Figuig. Participants were challenged to conceive an innovative hotel concept that seamlessly integrates with the local landscape while championing environmental sustainability and community engagement.

Project description

The recently concluded « Figuig: Hotel of the Future » competition has left an indelible mark on the historic oasis of Figuig, Morocco. Nestled in the southeastern part of the country, Figuig is not just a mere tourist spot but a repository of rich history, social cohesion, and cultural diversity, spanning centuries.
