Idea projektu
In a bid to increase the quality of education for Architecture students in
Nigeria, the Nigerian University Commission has approved Faculty of
Architecture for every school Of Architecture.
This project involves the design of a 1,000 seating capacity Lecture Theatre for the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ilorin. To be situated
within the vicinity of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences under
construction.
After carefully studying the design
considerations such as;
Acoustics & Visual/Sightline Consideration; Ventilation & Thermal Control; Tier Pitch; and Access, Circulation & Evacuation Plan
Through case studies, literature review,
site inventory & analysis. The following
brief was developed:
Auditorium hall;
Conveniences;
Lecture rooms;
Outdoor Reading Nook;
Plunge pool

Thank you for participating in the INSPIRELI EDUCATION International Student Competition.
It would have been better if you thanked about a parking station not related to the university parking, and technical and services (wc…) functions. You know the project can be used not just for the faculty of Architecture. Other events, conferences and lecturers could take place in the theater
It would also have been better if you created multiple entrance, taking into consideration the number of attendance to the project.
In addition, it would have been more interesting if you integrated the building of the faculty of Architecture in your plans to see the relation between these two entities.
To sum up, I really appreciate that you worked on a sustainable architecture project!
