Our idea is based on Cymatics It is the science of studying visual sounds
A word of Greek origin - sima - meaning wave or vibration There are many shapes and they differ in vibrations and frequencies by this idea We can get billions of 2D and 3D shapes by changing the frequency, Figure 2d and 3d I used in the design of my project is the sum of the frequencies of a musical group composed of a singer, a guitarist and a pianist.
Hello Issam, hope you are doing well. Following, I address some points that you can try to explore in your project:
1. Main entrance. This space has a great level of importance due to its location and flow of people, therefore it must have a differentiated hierarchy in the volumetry. Elements such as eaves, openings and permeable materials can be treated to celebrate the access to the project. In the same way, these additions will serve a functional purpose , as well as helping the user to identify the entrance easily.
2. Side Curtain Walls. These elements can be accompanied by extrusions or other shapes added to the original volume. Using passive strategies for light and ventilation management, will help to contextualize the project and increase the user's comfort level.
3. Separation of Textures and Materials. Elements of enclosures and roofs can be separated to improve the reading and fluency of the form. This practice can be complemented with the incorporation of secondary structures that will help to connect the volumes with harmony. If you want to use orthogonal shapes alongside organic shapes, these design drivers can help your design.
4. Plaza. The landscape&plaza design can be considered as an extension of the architectural object, which continues and finds its place in the site. The plaza can introduce the user by guiding him to the desired destinations. These spaces can be accompanied by textures following the concept of frequencies. Also, urban furniture can be implemented, as well as high and low vegetation to give life and privacy levels to the external spaces.
For a music school, using vibrations and frequencies is a very interesting conceptual approach. Different frequency sources is great to create a volumetry that matches the theme of the project. I would like to see some inner spaces as well. There's great potential in the idea. I hope my comments can help you in your design. Feel free of contacting me if there´s any doubt.
