Ferry Terminal at Moratuwa

Idea projektu

The site is located in the heart of Moratuwa at the edge of the Bolgoda Lake.The project enhances the communities socio economic well being through water transportation & economical involvement to the community. Moreover the project creates ba gateway into Moratuwa & to create a linkage between Moratuwa city center & the Bolgoda Lake through social activities.

Popis projektu

The main objective of the deign is to create a simple Unique design that incorporate nature through out the building foam,approaching site with a sensitive manner to utilie the form in order to capture the panoramic views and the natural breeze of the surrounding context. The design would promote water transportation & energize other water front activities,to improve socio economic well being in the city & the connecton between Moratuwa city center and Blgoda Lake and to incorpertae nature & context maximizing the green belt of the Bolgoda Edge.

Technické informácie

Brick is used as the main building material where at the main entrance the wall is a cavity wall which comforts the inhabitants with thermal comfort. Curved glass facades creates a panoramic view towards the piers. Piers are timber decks. Rooftop garden is a top tieing attrction point to the city area speciallyfor night functions. it expands city breathable spaces.
