Pavilion

Project idea

The project is a pavilion design inspired by the natural movement of hills and landscapes. The concept is based on creating a fluid, organic spatial experience that mimics the gentle rise and fall of terrain. The design aims to integrate architecture with nature by transforming ground movement into built form, allowing users to experience the space as a continuous landscape rather than a rigid structure. The pavilion serves as a light, open structure that encourages interaction, relaxation, and visual connection with the surrounding environment.

Project description

The pavilion design draws inspiration from the flowing contours of desert dunes, where the rise and fall of the form reflects the natural undulations of the landscape. Its lightweight mesh structure is inspired by reptilian skin, introducing an organic texture that enhances permeability, light, and shadow. Together, these elements create a dynamic and immersive spatial experience, harmonizing natural movement with biomimetic materiality.

Technical information

The design is based on organic structural systems that follow smooth, continuous forms inspired by topographic contours. The spatial organization is free-flowing, with gradual level changes that simulate natural slopes. Materials such as concrete, wood, and steel are used to achieve a balance between durability and lightness. The structure relies on curved load distribution and modular framing systems to support the fluid geometry. Natural lighting is maximized through open sections and voids, while the overall circulation follows a continuous path that enhances the experience of movement through space.
