APEX VISTA - 4 STAR HOTEL

Project idea

The idea behind this project was to capitalize on the great opportunity for tourism in the village of Brod in Dragashi, seeing the extremely great potential in this location and considering that there is only one hotel there, the decision to design our new hotel there was very easy. Our concept for the project is mainly inspired by the mountains of Brod, we also wanted to blend the building into nature so it wouldn't ruin the natural form of the terrain and we reached that also by using materials such as wood, which is locally produced.

Project description

The design of this Hotel is in accordance with the United Nations Development Program for Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Land Use Management in Dragash - Municipal Development Plan for the municipality of Dragash 2013 - 2023 and fulfills all the requirements and rules set forth by the institutions responsible for the design in this area. The main entrance of the hotel is located at the front façade, covered by the hotel's characteristic canopy. Guests enter through a windbreak into the entrance hall, which leads to the main restaurant. Guests also have the option to leave their clothes at the cloakroom or proceed to the café via stairs or a glass elevator. The entrance hall also contains restrooms for restaurant guests, divided into categories for disabled individuals, females, and males. The main restaurant can serve 400 meals and is accessible from the main kitchen. Staff access the kitchen from the basement via stairs or a service lift. The basement also features a food lift for transporting meals to the café and living floors. Additionally, there is a staff dining area near the kitchen, which also serves as a day room for waiters. The internal guest entrance is located next to the external guest entrance and leads to the lobby, which houses the reception and currency exchange. The lobby features seating, TVs, a bar, restrooms, a medical room, a baggage room, and shops, including a barber, hairdresser, souvenir shop, and sports equipment store. Internal guests can proceed to the entrance hall leading to the main restaurant from the lobby. The service entrance is located in the basement and is accessible via a ramp and stairs. The basement includes parking, a technical block, kitchen storage, staff changing rooms, and restrooms. The mezzanine level is accessible to all guests and staff. It features a billiard room and reading room for internal guests, separate restrooms, a gallery, a café, and a national restaurant, all connected via stairs and a glass lift. There is also a cloakroom and restrooms for café and restaurant users, and the café has a children's corner. The administration section includes offices and a meeting room with separate restrooms. The accommodation floors are divided as follows: The first floor has seven single rooms, four double rooms, three double-bed rooms, one suite, two accessible rooms, an extra bathroom, and maintenance facilities. The second floor has seven single rooms, three double rooms, four double-bed rooms, one suite, an economic section, and an extra bathroom. The third floor has two single rooms, five double rooms, five double-bed rooms, two suites, an economic section, and two extra bathrooms. All facilities are designed to meet specific project and lecture standards.

Technical information

This building has a combined structure made of reinforced concrete and timber wood elements. The basement, ground floor, and mezzanine have a structure entirely made of reinforced concrete, while the residential floors have reinforced concrete walls where the building is in contact with the terrain, while the rest is from timber wood. The residential floors are characterized by V-shaped columns that extend along the front facade of the building, thus providing high stability for the structure.
