New premium city address "Residential district Bakers Court".
A new residential project by Metrostav Development is being built on the site of the former Odkolek bakeries, which for decades supplied a large part of the metropolis with pastries. A set of 246 apartments will be built here by 2029.
The dominant feature of the project will be The Baker house, designed by the international studio Bogle Architects. The building with 98 apartments works with a distinctive brick facade and a clock tower, which directly refer to the industrial past of the location. Architecturally, it follows on from the original design by the Austrian architect Hubert Gessner, the author of the original bakery buildings from the early 20th century. The preserved factory chimney will also remain part of the new district as a physical reminder of the history of the place.
Another part of the project consists of two Baker Garden apartment buildings by the studio City Work Architects, oriented towards green courtyards. These are complemented by fourteen Baker Row villa houses and the more intimate Baker Pavilion with smaller apartment units.
The developer is building on a higher standard of housing and services. The project will offer a 24-hour reception, concierge service, fitness facilities, a private roof terrace with a heated pool, sauna and barbecue area. Technological equipment includes smart home management, recuperation, chilled ceilings or a parking system ready for electromobility including license plate recognition and biometric access.
“And just as important as the houses are the spaces between them. Cafes, shops, game elements, sports fields, green corners and works of art scattered around the complex are intended to inspire lively neighborly relationships,” adds Ondřej Buršík, head of Metrostav Development. A specific layer of the project is the Odkolekce art collection – twelve works distributed across the complex. Some were created from materials found during the demolition of the original bakery buildings and symbolically connect the industrial past with the new residential layer of the place. /
Nová prémiová městská adresa "Rezidenční čtvrť Bakers Court".
Na místě bývalých pekáren Odkolek, které po desítky let zásobovaly pečivem velkou část metropole, vzniká nový rezidenční projekt od společnosti Metrostav Development. Do roku 2029 zde vyroste soubor 246 bytů.
Dominantou projektu bude dům The Baker, navržený mezinárodním studiem Bogle Architects. Budova s 98 byty pracuje s výraznou cihlovou fasádou a věží s hodinami, které přímo odkazují na industriální minulost lokality. Architektonicky přitom navazuje na původní návrh rakouského architekta Huberta Gessnera, autora původních pekárenských objektů z počátku 20. století. Součástí nové čtvrti zůstane i zachovaný tovární komín jako fyzická připomínka historie místa.
Další část projektu tvoří dva bytové domy Baker Garden od studia City Work Architects, orientované do zelených vnitrobloků. Ty doplňuje čtrnáct viladomů Baker Row a komornější Baker Pavilion s menšími bytovými jednotkami.
Developer staví na vyšším standardu bydlení i služeb. Projekt nabídne nepřetržitou recepci, concierge servis, fitness zázemí, privátní střešní terasu s vyhřívaným bazénem, saunou a prostorem pro grilování. Technologická výbava zahrnuje chytré řízení domácnosti, rekuperaci, chlazené stropy nebo parkovací systém připravený na elektromobilitu včetně rozpoznávání registračních značek a biometrického přístupu.
„A stejně důležité jako domy jsou i prostory mezi nimi. Kavárny, obchody, herní prvky, sportoviště, zelená zákoutí i umělecká díla rozesetá po areálu mají inspirovat živé sousedské vztahy,“ dodává Ondřej Buršík, šéf Metrostav Development. Specifickou vrstvu projektu tvoří umělecká sbírka Odkolekce – dvanáct děl rozmístěných napříč areálem. Některá vznikla z materiálů nalezených při demolici původních pekárenských objektů a symbolicky tak propojují industriální minulost s novou obytnou vrstvou místa.
