Project idea
Design of a multi-sport hall featuring an expressive curved roof structure inspired by organic forms, combining reinforced concrete structural elements with a dramatic sweeping canopy.
Project description
The Salle Omnisports (multi-sport hall) is a large-scale sports facility characterized by its bold curved roof structure. The building features a monumental entrance with concrete walls and colonnades, set within a landscaped environment with reflecting pools and trees. The design employs a series of curved reinforced concrete beams and shell elements that create a distinctive undulating roofline, giving the building a powerful and dynamic presence.
Technical information
The structural system consists of reinforced concrete elements including: solid slabs (dalle pleine) in reinforced concrete, projected concrete slabs (dalle en béton projeté), concrete walls (voile en béton), curved beams of two types (poutre courbe type 1 and type 2) in reinforced concrete, arched beams (poutre en arc) in reinforced concrete, and vertical load-bearing elements (élément porteur vertical) in reinforced concrete. The roof structure is composed of repeating curved beam modules that span the main hall volume.
