AURA RESORT

Project idea

AURA Resort is a luxury boutique hotel located in the historic El-Montazah region in Alexandria, thoughtfully designed to overlook the artificial lake. The core concept is heavily inspired by the iconic, fluid lines of Zaha Hadid and the principles of Organic Architecture. The design aims to merge the natural surrounding waterfront views into both the interior and exterior environments, establishing a seamless and harmonious dialogue between nature and architecture.

Project description

The project embraces an Organic Minimal Mediterranean design style that deeply reflects the coastal context of Alexandria. The spatial layout is carefully organized using an integrated concept plan and structural matrix to manage clear zoning. The ground floor plan features highly functional public and semi-public zones, including a grand lobby, a reception, an open kitchen with a cafe, a lounge, a gift shop, and a luxury area, while maintaining strict separation for back-office, security, and private spaces.

Technical information

The technical execution utilizes a carefully selected color scheme and material palette tailored for a high-end hospitality environment. The interior design elements focus on minimalist organic forms, utilizing smooth finishes, natural plants, and sophisticated lighting layouts that accentuate the curved architectural lines. The spatial flow transitions effectively across multiple levels, supported by strategic structural planning that maximizes lake views through grand glass façades while ensuring optimal thermal and visual comfort.
