Project idea
Interior design for an administrative building for Sienna, Egypt's first handmade watercolor brand, reviving the art of handmade watercolor making inspired by distinguished ancient Egyptian craft traditions.
Project description
The project designs the interior of an administrative building for the Sienna watercolor brand, which was established in 2020 as an online-only presence. The design incorporates brand analysis based on key characteristics including handmade artisanal watercolors inspired by ancient Egyptian painting traditions, palette designs featuring hieroglyphic motifs, and personalized engraving of customer names inside Pharaonic cartouches. The building program includes a pigments display room, workshop room, gallery space, stepped seating area, workstations, client meeting room and reception. The concept lines are inspired by ancient Egyptian palette shapes. The moodboard draws from warm earthy tones and fluid forms reflecting the brand's identity. Target audience includes fine arts and applied arts students, professional artists, designers and illustrators, and art enthusiasts.
