A youth hospitality campus in Borg El Arab that addresses the main challenge of creating a vibrant community-oriented campus integrating hospitality, coworking, food and beverage, gym, and transitional housing functions within a contextually responsive architectural framework.

Project description

The project is a youth hospitality campus located in Borg El Arab, Egypt. The design incorporates multiple zones including F&B areas, gym facilities, coworking plaza, community street, community plaza, and transitional housing. The form generation responds to land and building analysis, vegetation analysis, and user analysis. The campus features multiple floor levels from ground to 10th floor, with careful attention to elevation studies and section design. The architectural language draws from traditional Middle Eastern and North African building traditions with courtyards, arcades, and stone-clad facades, while creating contemporary spaces for young users.

Technical information

The project includes detailed floor plans at ground, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th floor levels at various scales (1:500, 1:100). South and east elevations are provided along with sections A-A and B-B. The design incorporates parking design, passive design strategies, environmental simulations, and careful site planning. Activity diagrams and form generation studies inform the spatial organization. The campus features multiple building typologies organized around public plazas and community streets.
