Project idea
A high-rise hotel design developed as part of an Integrated Design III course, featuring a distinctive diagrid structural facade and mixed-use program with organic sculptural forms.
Project description
The project presents a high-rise hotel complex with a prominent tower featuring a diamond-patterned glass facade. The base of the complex includes a multi-story podium with transparent glazing revealing interior spaces, alongside organic blob-like structures that appear to serve as ancillary program elements. The design integrates urban streetscape with pedestrian-friendly ground-level activation and vehicular access.
Technical information
The construction of the building is made of mostly steel structures in combination with rcc walking columns, and with combined foundation systems of pile foundation and mat foundation.
