DESIGN OF A CONTEMPORARY CITY DISTRICT IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE HISTORIC CITY
Project idea
The main idea of the project is to return the activities and spaces for people in next to the historic center of Třebíč by uncovering the Stařečka stream and transfering the bus station from existing position next to the railway station for better connection of bus and train public transport.
The project is focusing on two areas in city of Třebíč which are Stařečka and railway terminal. In Stařečka there is proposal of new city structure created by city block which have commercial spaces in ground floor and apartments in upper stories. It also focuses on future possibilities of the city how to grow inside of the municipality instead of growing to the countryside.
Project is mainly an idea how the city can work with the structure in its center to make it more dense. While creating the proposal, usage of green and blue energy were considered (green flat roofs/grey water etc.)

1- Analysis of the place: understand the history and values of a city.
2- Management of the different Scales: In each scale, we will work differently.
3- The city as a system: Economic, social, physical, and cultural.
4- Understanding the environment.
Understanding the history and evolution of a city helps us understand the cultural and social values of the present to find the necessary strategies to improve people's quality of life.
Assessment.
It seems important the approach you had, considering the city as a system, begin able to observe subsystems that we can found:
- Transportation system: railway terminal and buses.
- Economic system: commercial premises
Finally, you have to consider the type of planning, the execution time, and citizen participation.
