This project proposes a timely and ambitious urban regeneration strategy for the Port of Beirut, aiming to transform it into a thriving economic, cultural, and memorial destination. The master plan thoughtfully integrates essential components—such as a passenger terminal, warehouses, a free zone business park, and a museum and memorial—creating a multifunctional hub that addresses both economic recovery and collective memory. The emphasis on using sustainable and composite materials is commendable, supporting environmental responsibility in the rebuilding process. While the spatial zoning is clear and pragmatic, further development of public realm connections, waterfront activation strategies, and detailed phasing plans would strengthen the project's urban integration and long-term resilience. Overall, this is a commendable and meaningful approach to healing and revitalizing a critical part of Beirut’s urban and economic fabric.
