Rodrigo Pantoja-Calderón (Morelia, 1978) is an architect, landscape architect, professor, and researcher whose work bridges design practice, education, and scholarship. He studied architecture, art history, and visual arts at Drury University (USA) and in Volos (Greece), pursued a masterclass in Landscape Urbanism at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, and holds a Master's in Landscape Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has collaborated with Shigeru Ban Architects in Japan and Wiel Arets Architects in the Netherlands, and in 2009 was named one of Mexico's "10 Promises of Architecture" by Revista Obras. As founder and director of the practice EVO-A-LAB, he develops sustainable architecture, landscape, and nature-based solutions for public agencies, private developers, and international organizations such as GIZ. Former Director of the Architecture Program at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Querétaro), he leads international design studios in partnership with institutions including the Illinois Institute of Technology and Kent State University, and holds an Honorary Professorship at Bangor University (Wales). His research explores the built environment as a determinant of public health, spanning landscape design, urban food systems, water governance, and regenerative design pedagogy. He is honored to serve as a juror for the Inspireli Awards, supporting the next generation of architects worldwide.
