Amphitheater in Burkina Faso - AXES OF ART

Project idea

THE PROJECT COMES TO LIGHT IN RESPONSE TO THE NEED FOR A NEW APPRECIATION AND REUSE OF THE THEATRE, WITH THE INTENTION OF RENEWING THE IDENTITY OF THIS AREA BY INTEGRATING CITIZENS THROUGH ART AND CULTURE. THIS BECOMES REAL BY THE CREATION OF 2 AXES, WHICH STRUCTURE THE WHOLE AND INTEGRATES WITH THEIR NEAREST ENVIRONMENT.

Project description

The project is developed in 2 axes or circulations. A public axis that connects the east park (proposed) with le marché des cycles, and another axis of circulation, development of the building, fairs, events... For this, it was necessary to remove, almost totally, the embankment of the theater, giving it a new structure of support and thus freeing the space below to be able to use it.

Technical information

The proposal includes an integral urban project of the area, trying to revalue the immediate environment of the theater.
