The main concept of the project is to incorporate new contextualism with the design decisions. The site was in Hazaribagh, Dhaka, where a design of a civic center was proposed.
By conducting several site studies and analysis few pedestrian pathways were designed to make the project more accessible to the public. Public spaces inside the civic center are also connected with the park allowing a flow of pedestrian traffic seamlessly through the site.
The construction was kept simple and was made with concrete just like the surrounding structures so that the building doesn't look alien to the neighborhood.
Hi Zakia Haque Maliha. Interesting project. But I would like to know more. I see that your site analysis is done but some text to explain your exploration and findings would be very helpful to understand your decision making.
Can you elaborate on the chosen site? Why is it significant, why place a civic centre here?
All the best. Holding thumbs for you
