The design idea of this residential tower was formed from attention to the quality of life in the city with problems such as lack of land, individual life and lack of communication. This tower has 13 residential floors, which caused the mentioned problems to disappear.
Each of these residential towers has 4 floors below the ground floor, ground floor and 13 floors above the ground floor. In the basement floors there are facilities, sports space, meeting space, parking and storage. Recreation, cafe bar and sports club have been designed and residential units are located on the remaining 13 floors.
One of the important points in the selection of the structure is to pay attention to the type of use and the economic discussion, after examining the advantages and disadvantages of two examples of metal and concrete frame structures, the results show that the cost reduction, high durability of the structure, fire resistance, and easier execution are the advantages of the concrete frame. It is more than the metal frame. Therefore, according to the results of the study and economic discussion, the desired structure will be of concrete frame type.
The "Noor Residential Complex" identifies important urban challenges such as land scarcity and social fragmentation, offering a high-density residential solution that aims to enhance quality of life through vertical living. The inclusion of communal facilities such as recreational spaces, a sports club, and meeting areas at the basement levels is a positive step toward promoting social interaction among residents. The decision to utilize a concrete frame structure for reasons of cost-efficiency, fire resistance, and durability is rational and practical. However, the project overall would benefit from a much deeper architectural and urban design exploration: the spatial configuration of the residential units, the relationship between private and communal spaces, façade articulation, and human-scale considerations are insufficiently developed. Furthermore, while the structural choice is sound, there is limited exploration of sustainable strategies or contextual sensitivity in the design. To strengthen the project, it is recommended to integrate more diverse public spaces, enhance vertical and horizontal circulation experiences, and develop a stronger architectural language that connects the building to its environment and community.
