Deep Blom is a luxury contemporary resort inspired by Japanese food culture, particularly the aesthetic and form of sushi. The concept is reflected in the circular layout of the floor plan, symbolizing harmony and flow.
Materials like wood are inspired by the traditional sushi mat, while the textures and colors reflect elements such as salmon lines and sushi tones.
Located by the sea, the resort includes a sushi bar within the food court, and a seafood & Japanese restaurant offering fresh fish and a culinary experience connected to the coastal setting.
The goal is to blend cultural inspiration with modern luxury, providing guests with a refined, immersive environment.
Deep Blom is a luxury seaside resort inspired by Japanese food culture, especially sushi. The circular floor plan reflects the shape of sushi, while materials like wood and soft colors are taken from sushi mats and salmon textures.

The resort uses natural wood, glass, and stone finishes to reflect a warm, modern aesthetic.
Lighting combines natural sunlight, LED profiles, and a mix of warm and cool tones for a relaxing ambiance.
The design includes exposed ventilation pipes in the ceiling, reflecting an industrial-modern style.
Spaces are functionally zoned for comfort, with smooth circulation throughout the resort.
The project translates an abstract culinary inspiration into a spatial experience with clarity and elegance. The circular plan reflecting sushi form is both conceptually symbolic and functionally effective, fostering flow and harmony. The material palette—wood, marble, and warm tones—creates a sophisticated atmosphere that blends Japanese restraint with contemporary luxury. The interior renderings display balanced composition and attention to texture, light, and rhythm.
My advice is to refine how the Japanese cultural essence extends beyond form and material—perhaps through spatial sequencing, sensory elements, or cultural storytelling. Exploring transitions between dining, relaxation, and circulation zones could elevate the narrative depth. A more articulated lighting hierarchy would also enhance ambiance and highlight craftsmanship.
