pavilion for contemporary arts

Project idea

the project idea was the creation of a pavilion for contemporary arts using only two primitive shape (cube,cuboid,prism,..) and the conceptualization, materiality of the project.

Project description

the main idea was creating a dynamic iconic building, using a cube and a cuboid. the cuboid was used as a services and lounges area and where all the fun starts, moving from the cuboid to the cube through an on edge stairs that provide transparency and interaction between indoor and outdoor as users will be going through these stairs having a panoramal view of the city. the glass part that provides sun and panoramal view for users between the concrete block gives the feeling of a flying cube as the glass is light weighted in comparaison with concrete.

material used were reinforced concrete, glass, corten steel as it find its way to fight corrosion and blends seamlessly with its surroundings
