Public Library

Project idea

The project is a public library located at the extension of wolkite university Inspired by the timeless metaphor of the "Tree of Knowledge", At the heart of the design is a central atrium space that takes the form of a towering, The concept is applied in the interior by using split level radiating out from the central atrium, branch-like extensions. It aims to create a free and open access to ideas and information's transforms life and build community. And mainly a well planned landscape that fosters the community engagement as library's aim not only for studying but as a community center

Project description

Central atrium with branching, tree-like structure , Integrated technology and digital resources throughout the library ,Outdoor terraces and gardens for respite and informal learning , youth center and human scale chase both as entertainment and engaging community as modern amphitheater. .

Technical information

the construction is mostly local elements like timber and the use of low-emitting materials, water-free urinals or dual-Sush toilets double glass panel for acquistic and heat(Better glazing, including double -pane, of building glazing that save energy by reducing heat gain/loss.)
