The Goma Socio-Educational Center project aims to create a modern space dedicated to education, training and social development of the population. Faced with the city's demographic growth and the growing needs for community infrastructure, this center aims to be a place of learning, of exchanges and development for young people and adults. Designed as a human development hub, it brings together training spaces, socio-cultural facilities, leisure areas and support services promoting social inclusion and capacity building. Its architecture favors functionality, comfort and integration into the climatic and urban context of Goma.

Technical information
The Socio-Educational Center project is designed with a structure adapted to the context of Goma. The main buildings use load-bearing walls made of brick and stone, ensuring strength, thermal inertia, and integration with the local environment. The foundations are made of reinforced concrete, adapted to volcanic soils and structural loads. Large-span spaces, such as the gymnasium and covered courts, are built with a metal structure, allowing wide, column-free spaces and flexible use. The roofs are lightweight, made of sheet metal or insulated panels, with a slope designed for heavy rainfall. The project is complemented by systems of natural ventilation, solar protection, and rainwater drainage, ensuring comfort and durability. This combination of brick, stone, and metal creates a building that is both strong, functional, and well adapted to the climate of Goma.
